DESCRIPTION
At adult age, I can measure up to 80 cm long and have an average weight of 12 kg. My coat is silver-gray on my sides and black on my legs. A black stripe runs across the center of my white head.
Behavior
DIET
I eat insects, small rodents, fungi, frogs, snakes and earthworms as well as plants like dried fruit.
REPRODUCTION
I breed between January and March. The female gives birth to two to seven cubs the following year.
LIFESPAN
I can live up to 15 years.
Where and when can you find me in the reserve ?
HABITAT
I live in the forest and burrow my sett close to bushes.
WHEN TO SPOT ME
I rest during the winter and am nocturnal so I’m not an easy creature to spot.
