DESCRIPTION
A small bush cricket, I grow to between 12 and 17 mm. My name comes from the cone-shaped projection on my head. My brown back and wings contrast with my bright green sides and legs.
Behavior
DIET
Mainly herbivorous, I live primarily on grasses as well as small insects like many other species of grasshopper.
REPRODUCTION
I lay my eggs on a plant close to where I live, at the juncture of the leaf and stem.
Where and when can you find me in the reserve?
HABITAT
I prefer dense, wet meadows, but you can also find me in dry habitats.
WHEN TO SPOT ME
You can find me between late-July and October.
