DescrIption
Measuring between 17 and 28 mm long, I am typically light green-yellow in color. My most distinguishing feature is the thick black streak running from my eye and down the sides of my thorax to my wings.

Diet
A herbivore, I eat mostly grass.
Reproduction
I lay about 15 eggs in wet soil.

I am one of the few crickets to beat its wings when I jump to escape

Habitat
I live in wet meadows, tall vegetation around ponds, and reed beds along rivers and streams.
When to spot me
I can be seen between July and October at the adult stage.
