An Overview of Robertsau – Wantzenau Forest
This circuit accessible for walkers of all levels takes you on a tour of the range of natural habitats found in Robertsau–Wantzenau Forest.
You will discover the extensively managed meadows and perhaps even get to meet the Highland cattle that tend to these open habitats by eco-grazing.
Special Regulations and Code of Conduct
To protect the site in the long term and reconcile nature conservation with human activities, special regulations have been put in place in Rohrschollen Island Nature Reserve.
Any person who contravenes the regulations will be liable to a penalty. Environmental police officers patrol this site. In addition to monitoring the site, officers are on hand to provide information and educate the public. Feel free to ask questions to our officers patrolling the reserve.
Getting to Robertsau nature reserve
Robertsau nature reserve is 4.5 km away from Strasbourg city center. Seven different entrances are available for you to access the forest and start your visit. You can either come by car, public transportation, riding your bike, or even on foot.
